2024 Events & Activities
October 25 & 26, 2024
In 2024, the Weatherford Regional Hospital Foundation brought back a long time favorite, the Arts Festival. The Stellar Arts Festival was on October 25th & 26th where WRHF showcased local artists during the SWOSU Homecoming weekend. With the money raised, WRHF was able to donate a mobile ultrasound unit to the WRH that could be used by all departments and create the ability to diagnose patients faster.

April 4, 2023
The Weatherford Regional Hospital Foundation hosted a Walk this Way fashion show to raise awareness for Alzheimer's at the Stafford Air & Space Museum. It involved the entire community where WRHF showcased local boutiques and had models of all ages. The money raised was donated to the physical therapy center at Weatherford Regional Hospital; we provided a recumbent stair stepper. WRHF also awarded Kay Villines, long time nurse of WRH, the Woman of Honor Award for her hard work and dedication. This was an incredibly memorable night!

2022 Events & Activities
October 4, 2022
The Weatherford Regional Hospital Foundation held two exciting events in October 2022. They hosted a charcuterie board dinner for over one hundred hospital employees and members of doctors’ staffs and held a fund raiser entitled Paint Out Cancer, which netted enough to purchase two pieces of equipment for the hospital, a recumbent stepper for rehabilitation services and two ultrasound tables for radiology department.
February, 2022
Fed hospital employee’s lunch, (bar-b-que sandwich, potato salad and chips), with the assistance of Sawatzky Catering.
Working on designing a new logo for the foundation.
Obtained and reviewing 4 proposals from companies to develop a website for the foundation.
Actively pursuing grants and donations for the Nuclear Imaging Camera for the Hospital Radiology Department. Submitted applications and letters requesting donations towards purchase of the camera to five various corporations and agencies.
Pursuing a relationship with SWOSU to be able to provide Health Care Related Scholarships that would be available to hospital employees and employees of other health care services.

Past Events
August 6, 2021
“Light Up The Fairways” golf tournament. Largest fund raiser of the year which netted the Foundation $63,000. The proceeds were transferred to the WRHF Oklahoma Foundation account. The family event consisted of a bounce house, games, silent auction, face painting, break the glass chipping contest, both adult and children chipping contest in addition to the 9- hole golf contest. T-shirts were provided for everyone.

Applied for $250,000 grant for a hospital imaging camera.
September, 2021
Began working to revise and update the WRHF By-laws.
November 12, 2021
Hospital Employee Appreciation Day – All 170 employees were provided gift bags consisting of cookies, trail mix and granola bar.
November 23, 2021
The hospital employees were provided two decorated Christmas trees to be given to two employees (at the hospitals discretion – drawing, etc). The trees were donated to the Foundation by Kings Flower Shop and then additional ornaments were purchased by the foundation for both trees.
November 29, 2021
A “Loving Hearts” Letter Campaign was initiated in which 50 letters were mailed to citizens of Weatherford asking for end-of-year donations toward the Foundation.
